Gays are responsible for gentrification

A pro-family leader says families have been driven out of San Francisco, California, because of the high cost of living and the increasingly family-unfriendly culture itself. According to an Associated Press report, San Francisco's 18-and-under population is just 14.5 percent -- the lowest percentage of children for any major city in the United States.

Robert Knight, director of the Culture and Family Institute, believes a major reason for this statistic is that San Francisco's dominant subculture is prompting families to flee the city. That subculture, Knight contends, is largely made up of childless adult singles and couples -- many of them homosexuals -- who live well and who live mainly for themselves. "The homosexuals have enormous influence," he says. "It's a very artsy city, and everything's very expensive. That's one reason families can't afford to live there anymore. It's all geared toward either the single life or the two-income adult life without kids. [...]

"The homosexual lifestyle is about pleasing oneself," the CFI spokesman asserts, "not planning for the future, not setting aside money for kids, not trying to create a situation where the generations come together. It's about having fun. It's about indulging in whatever desire you want at any given time." ("Pro-family advocate: Selfish homosexual subculture has annexed Frisco," 6/2/05)

And they're also driving automobiles

The American Family Association (AFA) is asking people to stop buying Fords because the company features homosexuals in magazine ads and donates money to gay activist groups.

Randy Sharp, AFA's director of special projects, wants people to sign an online petition saying they will not buy the Ford products until it stops supporting the homosexual agenda. ("Pro-family group launches Ford boycott," Family News in Focus, 6/1/05)

Ah, the good old days...

Hillary's got an agenda - and she's been willing not only to lie, but to enable a rapist to gets what she wants. Now, she wants to be your President.

"Their Lives: The Women Targeted by the Clinton Machine" details the systematic attacks that 'Bill and Hill' have perpetrated on women the ongoing bullying, coercion and bribery by the Clinton political machine. Until now, their stories have been manipulated, distorted and even suppressed - to protect Hillary and Bill. "Their Lives" tells the truth. [Blah blah blah.]

Anyone who cares about the future of our country must know that we had a rapist in the White House for 8 years. If they get their way, the liberals will put the woman who aided and abetted him there next. (Rev. [!!] Lou Sheldon, President, Traditional Values Coalition, "Hillary enables a rapist," TVC Newsletter, 5/31/05)

The Bible might have featured an "invisible hand," but I don't remember anything about privatization

The incongruity between big government theology and the teachings of the Bible is thus readily apparent. Entitlements place primary importance on material needs. Christ teaches his followers to "seek ye first the kingdom of God ... and all these things [food, clothing, etc.] will be added unto you."

Whereas the biblical standard requires the gift of faith, welfare subsists on fears that voluntary giving alone would be insufficient. Welfare proponents also worry about the unfairness of voluntary giving, as many choose not to give. The God of the Bible satisfies material and spiritual needs simultaneously, by conferring blessings on those who give voluntarily and sacrificially.

Christ's vision is indeed radical as radical today as it was in the ancient world and liberals might sincerely reject his doctrine as a basis for public policy. But intellectual honesty would require leaders of the contemporary left to admit that the Christian faith is incompatible with the ideology behind entitlement programs. Liberals want you to get laid -- I'd vote for that!

[C]asual sex "has often led to empty relationships, feelings of self-contempt and worthlessness," instead of the liberation, fulfillment and happiness implied by the suggestive Abercrombie and Fitch ads targeting teens.

Funny, you'd never guess that's true from watching all those slick ads that glorify sex, like the new pornographic Paris Hilton commercial for Hardee's hamburgers. Hollywood movies, TV sitcoms, and glossy magazines . . . everything in our popular culture screams SEX JUST DO IT! Why not? Everybody else is.

Are today's young people so enslaved by their raging hormones that they are incapable of making moral choices and exercising sexual self-restraint? That's what Liberals want you to believe. But I disagree. Parents need to emphasize moral purity and teach our children to practice virtue. Abstinence not only works, it pays long-term dividends.

Old-fashioned sexual morality may not seem so cool or hip, but it can sure keep you out of trouble. In plain terms: young women and men need to learn to say "No" and mean it. (Nathan Tabor, "What is the best way to prevent abortions?" Town Hall, 5/29/05)

The evils of the senior citizen discount

The quest to allow senior citizens to live off others doesn't stop there. If you're a senior citizen, you might be eligible for property tax reductions, subsidized prescription medications, reduced public transportation fares, and all manner of merchandise discounts. Don't get me wrong. I don't have anything against older people. In fact, some of my best friends are over 70 ... (Walter Williams, "Ripping off the system," Washington Times, 5/20/05)

And a few  more choice morsels from some of our favorite nuts:

The North Koreans at least waited for the ink to dry on Clinton's 1996 "peace" deal before they set to work violating it by feverishly building nuclear weapons. After hoodwinking seven Republicans into a "compromise" deal, Senate Democrats waited exactly seven seconds before breaking it.  (Ann Coulter, “7 'extraordinary' idiots,” Free Republic, June 1, 2005)

"If there's anybody that deserves the money, it's Nixon's family. I mean, without Nixon, nobody would have been anything. There wouldn't have been a Deep Throat."  (Rush Limbaugh, “The Supreme Broadcaster,” RushLimbaugh.com, June 2, 2005)

So .. the prediction?  There is going to be a move by the Democratic Party to shut down political talk radio in the months leading up to the 2008 election day.  The vehicle will be the hideous Campaign Finance Reform Act.   (Neil Boortz, “And What About Political Talk Shows?,” Boortz.com, June 1, 2005)
